Do you look for online casinos which are licensed when you play? I try to read all the fine print on the sites and like it if you can easily see they are licensed for game play.

Thanks for letting me join the casino forums!

I like to make sure they are licensed. It is always a good thing to do, in my point of view.

I have not really thought of that. I will have to pay more attention to this.

Looking at licensure is always a good idea to make sure they are conforming to laws in your area.

I do and I’m glad other people take caution too! I think it’s important to know about the site you use for online gambling, so I check a lot of things about them, one of those being the license, as in are they actually licensed at all. Can’t hurt to stay on the safe side and it’s not much work to find it all out.

I look for contact information. I won’t do a site if they don’t have 24/7, or thereabouts, support. That has always been licence enough for me.

You raise a good point that has never crossed my mind before, partly because I have never come across an online casino that got me into problems. I can imagine a situation where you have won but aren’t able to withdraw the winnings simply because the site was a scam. Due diligence is very vital.

Like some have said above, it’s not something I ever thought about. I haven’t had any issues yet but there’s no point in wasting time on a site that’s not going to fulfill its end of the bargain. Do they usually have a particular area to look for the license?

It would be easy enough to put something in the fine print, however, where to do want the place to BE licensed? The definition says that they have to be licensed where the bet is taking place. That could mean anywhere in the world. Even countries that are not allowing legalized gambling at this time. Be sure to Google that license to be sure that it is real.

I agree with Maggie in that it would be so easy for an online casino to get one over on you in the fine print. I don’t know if Google can tell me the answer, however, there are many countries that simply don’t allow gambling so you should watch out for scams.

Maggie, that’s a really good tip to share. I wish someone had told me that when I first started. Thankfully, nothing bad happened, but it still wasn’t something I knew to look for.

Questionable licensing on for online gambling sites is a major pitfall. If it my first time to a site, I’ll try to locate a license. I don’t want to end up “accidentally” doing something illegal or wasting time and money that I’ll never get back.
