Craps | Don’t Come Betting

Don’t come betting was the favorite side of the craps gambling table for the legendary Nick the Greek. He played that side of the table sense the odds were slightly better than the come side. When a player bets on the don’t come line, they are playing for the shooter to crap out on the roll or roll a number and then roll a seven before repeating the number. Some casino players will bet don’t place bets or buy against the four and the ten. The point of their bet is they are playing for a seven to show before the numbers they bet against show.

This type of betting takes more money, as you have to give the odds to make the bet. The do come better does not need as much capital as the don’t come better. If you can get all of the numbers covered and then a seven rolls you will win all of your bets. You can place don’t come bets on all of the numbers and you can bet don’t come each roll. You are hoping the numbers do not repeat before a seven is rolled.

When you bet against the four and the ten, you must bet the odds that it would pay if it rolls. This means you must bet more than you will win if you are correct.
If you bet against the ten as an example you would have to put up $90 to win $50. Many players will take the other come side bet, but this don’t side betting has never been that popular with dice players as the thought of putting up more than you will win seems to stop them. Don’t side betting just is a step to far for many gamblers. The odds are in their favor compared to come side betting, but that does not tempt many dice players to play on this side of the game.

When a table is strongly negative and the shooters are consistently sevening out this side is the only side that a player can make money playing. Fighting a negative table is expensive and does not make logical sense. The first step in learning to play this side is make sure you understand the bets you will need to place or make. The second step is watching the table to see if the shooters are crapping out on a regular basis. You certainly would not want to try this betting idea on a positive table. Once you see the merit of learning to play both sides of the dice table, you will become comfortable with the don’t side.
