Eight to one on you money is the payoff on a tie hand when playing Baccarat. This payoff is worth catching, but most players have no system that controls the number of bets and the amount of the bet. The bulk of casino players who play Baccarat will bet the tie on feel or just plain happenstance. They have no rational behind when they make a tie bet and the amount of the bet. Here is a method this author has used successfully for years and though it has sessions that it does not work at all, it is better than no plan at all.
The first rule of this system is to never bet the tie until it shows the first time. Some shoes are very skimpy on delivering tie hands to the players. Once a tie has shown up the game is on. Since most players who play Baccarat will keep track of the hands on a scorecard this system is very easy to implement. The idea is that tie hands will show up in multiples of three hands. So you can bet the third hand after it showed and the sixth and so on. I have carried this out to 27th hand before the tie showed again. There is no guarantee that the tie will show when it is supposed to and sometimes it will show at odd times, but for some reason this every third hand method catches a lot of ties. The other element is to play a progressive bet each time. You can start with a dollar or the table minimum and increase it a unit every time you make a bet. If a tie shows out of the third hand sequence, you start counting from the new tie hand. Some shoes this method catches few ties and some shoes it catches far more than you would think possible. You can do some real damage if you catch a lot of ties in a shoe.
This method controls betting a lot of ties at random and will reduce the amount wasted on ties by a lot of casino players. The secret is to give it a real try and see if it will work for you. There is no mathematical reason for it to work, but I use it all of the time and has paid off handsomely. This method was just discovered by trial and error.
