One of the best bets on a dice table is the buy of the four or the ten. This bet will payoff at two to one if it wins. Most casinos will charge a 5% commission to make this bet for you. When you place the four or the ten you only win 9 for 5 if it wins. The better gambling payout is the reason to buy it. How and when to make this bet is the key to it working. Patient craps players watch to see if there is a run of numbers that does not include either of these numbers. When this happens and the table is not cold, this is a very smart bet to make. All you have to do is tell the stick man that you want to buy the four or ten or both. The suggested bet is in multiples of $20 bets. So if you bet let us say $40 and pay a two-dollar commission, the house will pay you $80 if your number rolls before the dreaded seven.
Some players would press the bet at this point or raise it half of a unit and let it ride. Numbers do repeat and come in bunches at a dice table. If you catch this sequence of numbers, you can make a lot of money in a hurry. I have seen the hard ten rolled four out of five rolls in a row. On a hot or warm table the player should be putting all of the pressure on the casino that his finances will comfortably allow him to bring to bare. Gambling is all about knowing when to take risk and a hot dice table is certainly a situation that should be milked for all it is worth. The definition of a hot table is the shooters are making several passes before they seven out. It also means that a lot of numbers are being rolled before the seven shows its ugly face. A player buying the four and ten and taking the odds behind the pass line bets and come bets is going to score big time in this dice player’s heaven. This situation is not the time to be a conservative player. Let it ride and see the chips mount up in your rack. The time to be careful is when the table has not shown a tendency one way or another. Make small bets and maybe small increases from your winning bets.
A careful casino player is a smart player until the table gets red hot. This is not the time to play like a timid soul.
