    Popularity of online casino gambling

I'm wondering just how many people out there participate in online casino gambling. Is it gaining a rapid online presence, as I'm suspecting it does? There are so many new casinos opening all the time. They have to have customers, don't they?

I think online casino gambling has REALLY caught on in popularity in recent years, because it's so convenient for people like myself who aren't really close to any live casinos. The closest casino to me is about an 8 hour drive away! The only thing that worries me about online gambling catching on is that when it REALLY takes off - even more so than it already has - is that the government could step in to regulate it and ruin it for everyone. I hope that doesn't happen!

I hope that doesn't happen either, Adrian. But, like both of you, I do think that online gambling is catching on. With the cost of gasoline rising by the day, it's getting harder and harder to justify long road trips to a faraway casino, especially when you could just get on your computer and be in a virtual casino in a matter of clicks!

I agree with Adrian, I hope that online gambling does not get so popular that the government steps in! I think that gambling online has increased from years ago. I think it is because online casinos are so accessible.

I agree that online gambling is rapidly gaining popularity. My grandfather, for instance, was a die-hard poker player for years. He would regularly take month-long excursions to Biloxi and Tunica (Mississippi, FYI) to gamble in the casinos there. At one point, he even had an apartment in Biloxi so that he could gamble full time. He was a very good gambler and he made a living playing cards for years. Eventually, though, his health declined (Diabetes) and he had to move back home with my grandmother. At that point, he couldn't gamble anymore because he couldn't live alone and my grandmother didn't want to move. Then, online casinos started popping up and it opened up a way for him to play from home. It REALLY made him happy to be able to play again. Because of this, I would hate it if the gov't were to ever step in and regulate it in such a way that limits play, or makes it illegal in certain states, etc.

Online casinos are gaining tremendous popularity, I agree. For those not able to make it out physically to the casino, I completely see the appeal. Personally, I'd rather be in the gambling atmosphere.

Nothing can beat playing at a real casino environment but if you prefer to just stay home and have fun at the same time, playing at an online casino is a very good alternative. All you will be needing is your bankroll minus the gas money and the food/drink expenses. And best of all, you can gamble in the privacy of your own home.

As far as what I know, online casinos are more popular today because of big bonuses offered and there are new 3D games being published.

Nowadays, online casinos are very innovative because of its new 3D games and other interesting slot machines.

I agree. They are making the online sites very appealing by trying to give you the feel of being in a real casino. Some of the games are so "pretty" you would rather play them at home!
